Invest in the Next Generation of Lab Materials
Better Materials for Modern Science. Built to Scale.
PulpFixin is building a laboratory materials platform designed to reduce unnecessary plastic across sample management, liquid handling, automation and storage, without compromising the performance science requires.
With commercial products, strategic industry partnerships and a growing pipeline of applications, PulpFixin is moving better materials from product innovation toward broader market adoption.
Why PulpFixin.
Why Now.
A Better Material Decision Is Becoming a Better Business Decision.
Life science companies are under increasing pressure to reduce plastic, improve material efficiency and rethink the products moving through high-volume laboratory workflows. PulpFixin is positioned at that intersection with commercial products, validated performance and strategic partnerships that can help move better materials into the systems laboratories already use.
The opportunity is not simply to replace one plastic rack. It is to build a repeatable platform that identifies where plastic is no longer necessary, engineers a better alternative and scales successful products through established life science channels.
Established Industry Partners Are Taking It to Market.
PulpFixin has agreements with Azenta Life Sciences, Micronic and LVL Technologies to pair their established 2D tube systems with PulpFixin AutoRack® technology.
That matters because these relationships do more than validate the product—they create a pathway for PulpFixin to reach customers through companies already embedded in sample-management workflows.
Sustainability Without the Premium.
At publicly listed reseller prices, AutoRack averaged 51.7% lower than six comparable plastic rack products in PulpFixin’s August 2026 benchmark. The average competitor price was $21.73 per rack compared with $10.50 for AutoRack.
This gives PulpFixin an important commercial advantage: customers do not necessarily have to choose between reducing plastic and controlling cost.
Better Materials Have to Earn Their Place.
AutoRack has undergone dimensional, cryogenic, freeze/thaw, barcode and mechanical testing designed around real laboratory requirements.
Across 30 production racks, 2,640 of 2,640 dimensional measurements met the proposed tolerance, while a separate freeze/thaw program produced 480 successful barcode scans across 480 tracked cycles with zero recorded failures.
Plastic Carries Costs That Go Beyond the Product.
Material decisions are increasingly influenced by regulation, waste policy, procurement requirements and commodity exposure.
European producer-responsibility systems are already demonstrating that end-of-life costs can rise materially. Italy’s average plastic EPR fee increased 35.4% in 2024, with additional increases across several plastic categories in 2025. At the same time, U.S. plastics-material and resin producer prices rose 22.2% in just three months during the 2026 petrochemical disruption before partially retreating.
PulpFixin’s fiber-based platform creates a different material and supply-chain profile—one that can become increasingly relevant as customers evaluate cost, sustainability and sourcing risk together.
Products Create Proof. Partnerships Create Reach.
A Repeatable Platform Creates Scale.
PulpFixin has moved beyond the question of whether better materials can work in the laboratory. The next opportunity is to expand where they work, how broadly they are distributed and how many applications the platform can address.
One Product Proves the Idea.
A Platform Multiplies the Opportunity.
PulpFixin is not building a business around a single rack or box. We are building a repeatable development platform that can be applied across multiple life science workflows where conventional plastic may no longer be the best material choice.
The model is designed to scale by applying the same core capability again and again: identify the application, define the performance standard, engineer the material system, validate the product, build the manufacturing pathway and commercialize through the right channels.
Three Ways the Platform Scales
1.
More Products
Each successful application expands the portfolio and adds technical knowledge that can inform the next.
Today, PulpFixin is addressing sample management, liquid handling and cryogenic storage. The same development discipline can be applied to additional laboratory products where plastic remains the default.
2.
More Channels
PulpFixin does not have to build every route to market itself.
Strategic relationships with established life science companies can place PulpFixin products alongside technologies customers already purchase and trust. Distributor, OEM and bundled-product relationships create the opportunity to increase reach without relying solely on a direct-sales model.
3.
More Applications Per Customer
The opportunity can also expand inside an existing laboratory.
A customer may begin by evaluating one rack or workflow. Successful adoption creates the opportunity to examine additional products used across sample handling, storage, automation and liquid handling.
That creates a practical expansion model:
Start with one workflow. Prove performance. Expand where the material decision makes sense.
Every Successful Application Builds the Next One Faster.
As the portfolio grows, PulpFixin accumulates more than products.
It builds:
Application Knowledge
A deeper understanding of real laboratory workflows and requirements.
Materials Expertise
More experience engineering fiber-based systems for demanding conditions.
Manufacturing Know-How
Greater insight into tooling, quality, repeatability and commercial production.
Market Access
More customer relationships, distribution pathways and strategic partnerships.
Brand Credibility
More evidence that better materials can perform in modern science.
These capabilities can make each new opportunity more informed than the last.
The Market Is Starting to Validate the Model.
PulpFixin is moving beyond product development and into commercial adoption through strategic relationships, customer evaluations, distribution channels and industry recognition.
The strongest evidence is the company’s agreements with Azenta Life Sciences, Micronic and LVL Technologies, which are bringing bundled sample-management solutions to market using their established 2D tubes in PulpFixin AutoRacks. These relationships give PulpFixin access to customers through companies already embedded in critical life science workflows.
